Service learning, an educational strategy which reinforces and enriches classroom experiences with extended opportunities outside the classroom, fosters positive results in students of all ages. On Friday, January 27, and Saturday, January 28, from 3:30 (Friday afternoon) to 3:30pm (on Saturday afternoon) The Community Foundation will offer students a Service-Learning Training Workshop. The two-day training will discuss what service learning is, student success, learning from service and civic education. Teachers, agency staff members and students are encouraged to attend. The hands-on training workshop costs $30 per person.
