Roundup of Church Youth Groups

Your child can encounter Christ, develop their moral character, do good works, make new friends and more by joining a church youth group. Many Findlay area churches offer youth groups led by experienced staff or volunteers.

Bible Methodist Church

529 Stadium Drive, Findlay

Offers a Kids Zone (age 3-5 ), Children’s Worship (age 6-8), Jr. Worship (age 9-12) and Teen Worship on Sundays from 5- 6pm. In addition, Teen Action meets on Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm.

Calvary Baptist

2000 Broad Avenue, Findlay

Kids4Truth Clubs, geared toward children ages 3 through 6th grade, features song, lesson, Bible memory, and games on Wednesdays, 7pm, during school year. JYC for teens ages 11-14 meets at Glenwood Middle School on Tuesdays, 2:45-4pm, and Liberty Benton Middle School on Tuesdays, 3-4pm. Teens can also meet for Bible study and fellowship on Wednesdays, 7pm, and for SNAP (Sunday Night After Preaching) for food, games, and fellowship once a month.

Cedar Creek Church

1800 Tiffin Avenue, Findlay

CedarVille PreK and the church’s elementary program are themed series that offers parent resources, small groups, media resources and God Time devotionals. A youth group for 6th-12th grades meets on Wednesday evenings.

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

2800 Crystal Ave., Findlay

Youth ages 12-17 meet once a week for activities such as hiking, sporting events, service projects and life skills lessons.

Church of the Living God

701 North Main Street, Findlay

K.I.D.S. (Kingdom Building, Impacting Lives, Deeper Relationships, Spiritual Growth) offers themed lessons and field trips to places like the Columbus Zoo and the Creation Museum. Young Lions is for teens and includes activities like Winter Jam, Forward Conference, and Pulse Conference.

College First Church of God

1100 N. Main St., Findlay

CF Kids offers Bible stories and activities during worship for toddlers through 8th graders. Kids Club for 4th and 5th graders meets on Wednesdays, 7pm. CF Youth Group for teens in 6th-12th grade meets on Sundays, 5:30-7:30pm. In addition, the church offers Junior Phoenix Reading Group on Thursdays, 7-9pm; First Friday Game Nights on the first Friday of every month, 7-9pm; and CF Youth Experiences for all ages with special activities like “Winter Jam” and “Fall Fling.”

Cornerstone Baptist

Master Club is a midweek program for children ages PreK- middle school. Grace Notes Choir is for children who want to learn to sing for God. A youth group for 7th-12th grade students meets midweek for formation, communication, recreation and obligation.

Findlay Evangelical Free Church

Treehouse Kids Ministry is designed for kids up through 5th grade with a variety of programming. Students in the IMPACT middle school and high school community groups meet on Sunday mornings, 9:15-10am, to build relationships with one another and encounter God’s Word. The groups meet on Sunday evenings at the Heatherwood campus, 6-8pm, for games, large worship group, youth café and more.  

Findlay First Assembly of God

Kidnetic Kids is for newborns to 5th graders. Anchor Youth Ministry is for teens and meets on Wednesday evenings for fun activities and relevant ways to get grounded in God’s word.

Findlay First Church of Nazarene

Promise Land for 4-5 years old meets on Wednesday nights at 6:45pm. Students can be part of KinderChoir and partake in Bible fun lessons, interactive play, and activity books. Power Plant for elementary students meets Wednesdays at 6:45pm for games and interactive play. Youth in 7th-12th grades have Discipleship classes on Sundays, 9:15am, Surge on Wednesdays, 6:45 pm (lessons, games); and Aftershock the 3rd Sunday of month, 6:30 pm (outing).

Findlay First Presbyterian

Many children and teen ministries including Godly Play, Prayground, Godly Play Choir, Cabin Fever, Music and Arts Camp.

First Evangelical Lutheran Church

EPIC (Every Person in Christ) hosts a weekly gathering of students in grades 6th-12th  with Bible Study, prayer, games, snacks, fellowship on Sundays 6-7:30pm

Gateway Church

Youth Life Groups for teens in 6th-12th grades meets on Sunday nights during the school year to study the Word, games, fellowship and food.

Good Shepherd UMC

Youth Group for teens in 6th-12th grades meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at office building 105 North Main Street for fellowship and fun. 

Howard United Methodist

220 Cherry Street, Findlay

A combo youth group with members from Howard and Zion UM meets on Sundays, 630-8pm, for food and fellowship. Geared toward students in 6th-12th grades.

Journey at Christ Church

225 West Bigelow, Findlay

A youth group for 6th-12th grades meets the second Sunday of the month from 5:30-7pm for supper, fellowship, discussion, and activities.

Movement Church

1715 North Main Street, Findlay

Kids on the Move provides Bible lessons, interactive videos, songs, and games on Sunday mornings.

New Life Assembly of God

3120 Norcrest, Findlay

Girls Ministry for ages 2-18 meets on Wednesdays, 7-8:15pm, for life skills, friendship, and growth in Jesus. The Royal Rangers for boys ages 5-18 meets on Wednesdays, 7-8:15pm, for outdoor adventure and Christian mentoring. A youth group for 7th-12th graders meets on Sundays, 6-8pm. 

Parkview Christian Church

15035 Ohio 12, Findlay

Alive is for children in kindergarten through 5th grade and takes place during worship. Youth groups are segmented by Junior High (meets Sundays 5-6pm) and Senior High (meets Sundays 6:15-7:30pm). Teens engage in real life experiences and discover their gifts through service to church and other activities.

St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church

Kids Praise takes place Wednesdays, 5-5:45pm. Middle MAGIC (Minds Awakening and Growing in Christ) for grades 6th-8th takes place Wednesday nights during the year. And GoFISH (Go Forth in the Sons Hands) is geared for teens in grades 9th-12th.

TIME (Teens in Mission Everywhere) meets the first and third Sundays of the month from, 6:15-8pm, for mission projects locally and abroad.

SPARK Kids is for elementary age children and meets weekly for Bible lessons, fellowship and fun. A youth group for teens in 6th-12th grade is also offered.

Arise Juniors for 5th and 6th graders meets on Friday every other month from 6-8pm, and Arise for 7th and 8th graders meets one Friday a month from 7-10pm to experience the love of God with their peers. Refuge is for high school students and is ecumenical in nature.

Discover Kids for PreK-4th grades meets Sundays during worship. ConnectYouth!  For middle and high school students also meets Sunday mornings, 9:15-10am; and Sunday evenings 7-8:30 pm; and Wednesdays, 6:15-7:10pm.

BridgeKids is designed for infants through 5th graders and takes place during worship services. REAL (Real Encounters of Authentic Love) for students in 6th-12th grades meets on Sunday evenings, 6-8pm during the school year. REAL participants engage in mission trips, outings, games, small groups, and Ohio State Youth Convention.

Preschool childcare is offered Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm. A youth group is offered the second Thursday of the month, 6pm, and includes meetings, activities and events.

YFC staff meet with students from middle and high schools in Hancock County and the Pandora/Bluffton area. They offer activities like breakfast clubs, campus life clubs, small groups, bible studies, mentoring, retreats, student leadership training, pool parties, Cedar Point trips and more.
