Skateboarding can be a healthy and fun activity for kids of all ages. It gets children outdoors and teaches them commitment to a skill. But often skaters suffer from a lack of safe places to enjoy their sport. Bowling Green now offers a fine new facility for skaters of all skill levels, as the skatepark at City Park had its grand opening in May. Located next to the inline skating rink, the new park offers all the ramps, rails and stairs that skateboarders crave. And if you’re already a fan, there are BG Skatepark t-shirts available at the BG Community Center for $10. So get out there and get rolling! 417 City Park Dr., Bowling Green. www.bgohio.org/departments/parks-and-recreation/parks.
