Nearly twenty years ago, Cedar Creek Church began meeting in the Toledo area. This year, they opened their fifth location on Tiffin Avenue in Findlay. Unique in its approach and known for being involved in the community, the mission of Cedar Creek is “to help spiritually restless and unchurched people love Jesus, serve others and tell the world about Christ.”
Mike Sell, the Findlay campus pastor, is excited to build relationships and make a difference here in Findlay. “We care a lot about the communities that we are a part of. We want to shoulder up with the community and the world. Our goal is to help people help themselves,” he explains.
The Findlay Campus of Cedar Creek will carry the same message and experience as the main campus in Perrysburg. “We are one church with multiple locations,” Sell says. He goes on to describe what someone can expect during a weekend service at Cedar Creek. “People are going to get a smile, a handshake, someone to welcome them, and a message that will relate to their life. No matter where you are in your life, we are relevant.” While parents listen to the message in the auditorium, kids of all ages have a safe and secure place that is designed just for them. Cedarville is a colorful and kid-friendly environment for babies through fifth grade students, while middle school and high school kids can participate in Fusion (grades 6-8) or Vertical (grades 9-12).
Cedar Creek Church is located in the former movie theater at 1800 Tiffin Avenue. Service times: Saturdays at 5:15pm and 7pm, Sundays at 9am, 10:45am and 12:30pm. www.cedarcreek.tv
