The rest of the state is learning what we in Findlay have known for decades – Dietsch Brothers Fine Chocolates & Ice Cream serves some of the best ice cream and sweet treats we’ve ever tasted.
Ohio Magazine recently named Dietsch’s the top ice cream stop in Ohio. What makes the honor even sweeter is that the magazine’s readers didn’t just vote for Dietsch’s from a list. They had to nominate their favorites, which means at some point they came and tasted for themselves. “For so many people to think of us, it’s an honor,” said Erika Dietsch-Brokamp, manager of the main store at 400 W. Main Cross St.
Dietsch’s allure includes an old-fashioned soda fountain, milkshakes and homemade ice cream. Their nuts are roasted fresh daily, and toppings and sauces are also freshly made each day. The best part? You can get ice cream any time of year, as well as any of the decadent candies and chocolates.
TripAdvisor last year ranked Dietsch’s the third best in the United States based on the quality and quantity of reviews and opinions from millions of travelers.
The Main Cross store is open from 9am to 9pm Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 9 pm Saturday, and noon to 5pm Sunday.
