The Ohio Alliance of Public Charter Schools recently recognized the Findlay Digital Academy as a Charter School of the Year. The award was given based on going above and beyond in all six categories of the Ohio Department of Education’s report card including high school graduation test passage rate, annual measurable objectives/gap closing and four, five, six and seven-year graduation rates. “The award is a celebration of what our students have accomplished,” said Sandra White, Findlay Digital Academy superintendent. “It sets the tone for our current students. We’re here to offer an alternative pathway to earn a diploma.”
The Academy is an online, Conversion Community School sponsored by the Findlay City Schools that serves students in grades 9-12 living in the Findlay City School District.
“It’s always our goal to have 100 percent of our students graduate,” she said. “I have a wonderful staff and we work hard to make sure our students meet their goals.”
