Get muddy

flirt-with-dirt

On Saturday, July 16, area runners have the opportunity to trade hot pavement for shady trails at the second annual “Flirt with Dirt 5K.” Held at Riverbend Recreation Area, the race course utilizes wood-chipped trails throughout the park.

Sponsors of Findlay’s only trail run/walk are Blanchard Valley Hospital Rehab & Sports Medicine, the Hancock Park District, and the Hancock County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. On-site registration begins at 7am with the run beginning at 8:30am and the walk starting at 8:40am. Cost to participate is $25 per participant with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Hancock Christian Clearing House.

Race organizers report that awards will be presented to the top three runners in each age division. Post-race refreshments and goodie bags will also be available. For more information or to register prior to race day, contact Chris Webb at 419-306-6272 or visit www.bvhealthsystem.org.
