Giving it back

. September 21, 2012.

If you’re gearing up for spring cleaning, don’t forget Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore of Findlay/Hancock County. Celebrating its second anniversary this April, the ReStore continues to accept donations of lumber and plywood, new carpet, tile, interior finishings, lamps, kitchen wares and wood furniture. The ReStore opened two years ago and the public’s response has been more than encouraging. “We’re open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays,” says Wendy McCormick, Executive Director. “We’ll have special events every week in April, but on Thursday, April 12, some of our partners families (families that have received homes) will be working in the shop, so they can answer questions and talk to the public.”

For more info on the ReStore or for a complete list of accepted donation items visit or call 419-425-3900. And don’t forget — if you have large items or can’t make it to the ReStore’s location, schedule an appointment for the store to pick it up at your home for free! 2042 Tiffin Ave.
