Horsin’ around

. October 18, 2012.

Swimming may be cooler, but if you ask any pre-teen girl how to spend an ideal summer, most would answer, “with horses!”

Thanks to Lane of Dreams Farm in Tiffin, many girls and boys will be offered a chance at an ideal summer activity. Lane of Dreams and its experienced instructors will offer a new weekly Horse Camp, Monday-Friday starting Monday, June 13 through Monday, July 18. From 8:30am-12pm each day, campers will develop natural horsemanship skills, learn equine anatomy and the fundamentals of owning a horse, all in a safe, fun manner. Campers will also receive formal riding instruction to improve their horsemanship.

Designed for children ages 6-14, Lane of Dreams Horse Camp will use games and crafts to help campers learn skills in an entertaining way. By the end of the weekly session, campers will know basic barn safety, grooming, tacking, leading, riding and how to cool out a horse.  Lane of Dreams is the facility used by Tiffin University’s Equestrian Program and features both indoor and outdoor riding arenas.

Cost of the camp is $375 per week with a non-refundable $100 deposit needed to reserve a session.  2502 C.R. 16, Tiffin.  For more info, e-mail Allison Dittman at Adittman1@gmail.com or call 419-448-7433.
