O.K., pardners. Take off those headphones, turn off your iPhone and put on those boots and spurs! Campfire USA is providing an “air conditioned” Wild West experience this summer for kids completing first through fifth grades.

Day-campers stay cool indoors while safely exploring Findlay’s “wilderness.” Areas of focus include map reading and orienteering, cooking over an open fire, crafts and guest speakers.  Venturing far and wide, campers will also visit Perrysburg’s Ft. Meigs, Newhard Planetarium and Riverside Pool (one field trip is scheduled for each weekly session.)

Parents can schedule their young pioneers for weekly sessions beginning June 13 through August 11.  Cost is $40 per week per camper, or all eight weeks for $240.00. Camp location is the Campfire USA headquarters at 305 W. Hardin Street, Findlay.

Summer vacation is looming, so prospective campers are urged to register now at www.campfireusa-nwohio.com
