A collaboration between Marathon Center for the Performing Arts (MCPA) and Findlay Light Opera Company (FLOC) was announced at a reception of MCPA and FLOC board members and supporters on the 30th anniversary of FLOC’s founding. The collaboration comes as part of a two-year long partnership plan between MCPA and FLOC to bring community theater back to the Central Auditorium, now the Donnell Theater, FLOC’s original performance home.
Funded in part by a grant from the Hancock County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the collaboration will begin this fall with four cabaret shows in the Roy & Marcia Armes Hall as part of the MCPA’s LIVE@ARMES Series. Winter of 2019/2020 will feature a semi-stage concert version of a musical with an all-community cast. This project will support a revival of the Findlay Light Opera Company which has been largely inactive since 2007.
