Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik has been appointed as vice chairwoman of the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ Women Mayors Leadership Alliance. Having been a member of their advisory board since 2017, Mihalik also serves as chairwoman of the conference’s Standing Committee on Children, Health and Human Services. The Women Mayors Leadership Alliance (former Women Mayors’ Caucus) was convened in 1983 by Senator Dianne Feinstein, former Mayor of San Francisco. The purpose of the Alliance is both to encourage and to develop involvement and leadership potential for women mayors within the Conference of Mayors. The Alliance also provides an excellent opportunity for networking and a forum for an exchange of ideas on issues important to women.
