Whether you are new to town, or to another stage of life, you can find fun and friendship in Findlay’s Newcomers’ Club.
Started in 1989 as a way for new residents to learn about the community and make friends, it has evolved into a social club that has play groups, Bunco, progressive dinners and other activities aimed at community building.
As the group starts its yearly membership drive this month, incoming president Erin Easley explains you don’t have to be new to the Findlay area to take advantage of the Newcomers’ Club. Need to know which doctors are accepting new patients? Want to find out which restaurants are great for kids? Members probably know. “Really anyone can be a member,” said Easley, who herself moved from Lexington three years ago. “Some members are newcomers, but some members have been in the group for years.”
While the group accepts new members all year long, the annual membership drive starts in May.
