No matter how you slice it

For the Cole family, a trip to Columbus, Ohio wasn’t complete without a stop at Donatos. Founded in 1963, the pizza, sub and salad restaurant is known for its quality ingredients, generous portions and large menu. So it comes as no surprise that Findlay resident Mike Cole began thinking of opening a Donatos in his own community. “I did some checking a few years ago and was told that there was already a plan to bring Donatos to Findlay,” says Cole. “When I didn’t see anything happening, I contacted the company again and we began working together.” Mike’s persistence paid off and Donatos opened to much fanfare in mid-August. A significant part of the project was renovating part of the former Movie Gallery building located directly in front of Findlay Village Mall. The transformation has resulted in a sleek, modern eatery with plenty of room for those who want to “eat in” and even a party room that seats 20-25. Cole credits his managing partner, Tom Dumit, with pulling everything together for a smooth and delicious opening.

In addition to pizza (thin or hand-tossed crust), Findlay diners can enjoy “Signature Subs,” salads, Stromboli and even lighter fare options (with calorie content printed right on the menu). Feeding the family doesn’t need to break the budget, with a “Just for Kids” offering of either pizza or chicken breast strips with wedge fries and a soft drink.

Donatos is all about convenience with options of delivery, dining in, a call-ahead drive-up window and even catering for large groups. The Findlay location is open from 11am-midnight, Sunday through Thursday and 11-1am on Fridays and Saturdays.  Eager to enjoy a taste of Italy right here at home?  Call 419-422-1100 to place an order!
