Iceberg right ahead! The world may remember Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio on the unsinkable ship Titanic, but what about the other passengers? On Thursday, April 12, The Fort Findlay Playhouse will open its most impressive show yet, Titanic: The Musical. Focusing on families and crew members who embarked on the journey of a lifetime, the characters are largely based on actual passengers with a few legends thrown in for fun. In addition, Findlay's very own historic resident Jay Yates (an infamous gambler and outlaw), who was supposedly on board the ship, makes an appearance. Before one of the last lifeboats was lowered, Yates gave a note to another passenger and said "Please deliver this to my sister in Findlay, Ohio. I want her to know I was aboard the ship." The performance will honor the 100th anniversary of the ship's demise, and the sets, score and script are sure to wow audiences. Performances continue April 12-15, 19-22 and 26-29.
