It’s a sport that’s always exciting, but can also cause injuries. If you have a son or daughter who wants to learn the fundamentals of football while leaving the “roughness” behind, the Findlay Y may have the answer. Starting this month, the Y is offering Flag Football for boys and girls ages four to second grade.

Registration deadline for all ages is Wednesday, April 6, with play scheduled from Tuesday, April 26, through Thursday, May 26, for children ages four to kindergarten. Practice is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm with the game following at 6pm. For kids in first and second grades, games will be played at 6pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, with practice at 5:30pm. All practices and games are held at Emory Adams Park, Findlay.

The only “equipment” needed is a water bottle and mouth guard. Flag Football is free for Findlay YMCA family membership holders, and $30 for youth membership holders  Fee for non-members is $60. Registration forms are available at the Findlay YMCA downtown location, 300 E. Lincoln Street.
