Hancock Park District is launching a new opportunity to experience nature- and history-based programs and events from your home. “Virtual Experiences with the Hancock Park District” begins at 1 p.m. Friday via Facebook Live

The programs are planned for 1 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a different focus for each 2-3-minute segment. Following the live event, you can find each video archived on the HPD Facebook page and in mp4 format at www.HancockParks.com.

On Monday segments, you can find “Discovery Stories” featuring a nature-based story and activity for younger children and the young-at-heart.

On “Way Back Wednesdays,” you can step back in time to northwest Ohio, c. 1847, with historic reenactments at the McKinnis Farm at Litzenberg Memorial Woods.

And on Fridays, you can curl up in a cozy chair for “Hit the Trail” as naturalists lead virtual outdoor adventures in the parks.

All ages are welcome to view and registration is not required.
